About
About Ascalor Media House
An independent newsroom with one job: give busy readers a calm, accurate picture of the world.
What we publish
The world desk is a front page of headlines from established newsrooms, sorted by region and refreshed every half hour. We show the headline, a one-line snippet, the name of the newsroom and when it was published, and we link you to the original story. We never reproduce articles.
The newsroom publishes short explainers written by our own team: what a story means, what the numbers say, and where to read more. Every post lists its sources.
Who it is for
Readers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Canada and Australia who want the day's news without noise, pop-ups or a login wall.
Who we are
Ascalor Media House LLC is a limited liability company registered in Wyoming, United States. Our editorial byline is Ascalor Newsroom. We are not affiliated with any of the newsrooms whose headlines appear on the world desk.
Independence and money
The site is free to read. We plan to run display advertising. Advertisers have no say in what we publish, and no advertising runs until our policies on this site say so.
